One would expect that "Real Housewives of New York City" star LuAnn D'agostino, aka The Countess, would want to completely shut down a report from Page Six that she slapped her new husband, businessman Tom D'agostino, at an upscale NYC restaurant.
But she kind of partially confirmed the report. At first she said she didn't slap him, but then she clarified what she really meant.
"It was more of a tap than a slap,"she said on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" on Wednesday. "It was a lovers' quarrel. I think all couples go through these things."
LuAnn's imperfect relationship with Tom has been an ongoing storyline on the Bravo reality show. Several cast members had actually brought proof of his cheating on her during their engagement to her attention. Despite the infidelity stories, LuAnn married Tom last December.
In general, LuAnn said that her tumult ous marriage to Tom is a result of their "very passionate love affair."
"Tom and I are very passionate and very much in love with each other and things happen," the 52-year-old also said. "Unfortunately, we are very much public people and so everybody likes to talk about it. From the 'Housewives' to the restaurant, it's very hard to keep privacy."
